WHY THE SILENCE?

I have remained silent these last few months because I have too much to say. The nurse I have hired to help me through this period of introspection and convalescence is a double agent. I know it and she knows it. Those pills she gives me every morning are not the ones my doctor prescribed.

She is an attractive young lady and plays the role well. I enjoy her presence and crave her touch. Although I don’t think I am yet strong enough to actually engage in sex, the notion that someday I will have recuperated to that level gives me hope. As Arthur said to Sir Bedivere, “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.”
